The purpose of this voluntary program is to allow motorists who have good driving records
to maintain those records. In addition, the money collected will help
pay expenses for the Prosecutor's Office and other local law enforcement agencies.
If you have already paid your ticket at the clerk's office, we cannot accept
you on this program.
You are eligible
for the infraction deferral program if:
-

to the Prosecutor's Office, Room 108, Civic Center Complex, Evansville,
Indiana, 47708 at least 10 days before your court appearance date.
- Enclose a money
order or a cashier's check in the amount of $127 per ticket unless the

Cash, personal checks, and business checks are not acceptable. Also, payments are not accepted online.

with your payment and agreement.
- If you are between the ages of 16 and 24 and your ticket was issued for one of the violations marked with an asterisk * on the list below, you are required by the court to enroll in and complete the Alive at 25 Defensive Driving Course at Ivy Tech Community College. If you fail to pay
in person or mail the agreement, payment, or ticket to us in a timely
